Hello Friends,
I thought it was time for a little update from the campaign trail!
The signs are officially out! And I have to admit, it’s a little strange driving around town and seeing my ugly mug staring back at me from the side of the road. 😂
I’ve also learned that putting up the big signs is a lot harder than it looks. I have a whole new appreciation for everyone who has spent years putting up signs for our Patriot candidates. You guys make it look easy!
If you’d like a yard sign—or know someone who would—we have signs available at Jones Fort. Stop by, grab an Authur Gorman sign, and while you’re there, you might as well check out the inventory. 😉 Please help us spread the word to friends and family!
Our Big Fundraiser — August 28th!
Preparations are going great, and we already have some fantastic items lined up.
We’ve got everything from haircuts to a gift card tree—and we even have a cord of wood that can be delivered within 15 miles! Now that’s a Shasta County fundraiser.
We’re still looking for baskets, gift certificates, and items to fill baskets, so if you or a local business would like to donate something, we would be incredibly grateful.
And I’m excited to announce that Fat Daddy’s BBQ will be catering!
The Race Is On
This election is going to take a lot of work.
Teresa and I are running against Shaye Stevens, who works full-time for the California Teachers Association and is a regional manager for the union. You may also know her as the co-host of Shasta Unmasked with Jessica French.
We know the candidates backed by powerful organizations can have significant resources behind them.
But there’s one thing money can’t buy:
Hard work.

We may be the underdogs, but that has never bothered me. It just means we work harder.
Our team has already knocked on 400 doors, and our goal is 9,000 doors before Election Day to help elect our slate of school board candidates across Shasta County.
That means we need some help!
If you can give us an afternoon, an evening, or even a couple of hours to knock doors, we would love to have you. You don’t have to be a political expert. You just have to be willing to walk, talk to your neighbors, and help us get the word out.
Most of all, thank you.
I am incredibly grateful for every person who has donated, put up a sign, knocked on a door, encouraged a friend, or simply told me, “We’re with you.”
I made a commitment when I decided to run again that I will always work harder than I ask my supporters to work.
I intend to keep that promise.
I’m thankful to have you on this journey with me. Now let’s go knock on 8,600 more doors!
